Good to know
Welcome to our cozy cabin retreat on the north shore of Lake Granby—a place our family has poured our heart and soul into, and one we’re thrilled to share with you. This single‑story, 1,400 sq. ft. home is more than a getaway… it’s a feeling. A deep breath. A slowing down. A place where memories settle in and stay for a while. The original part of the cabin was built in 1954, and the moment you step inside you’ll feel that nostalgic, wood‑paneled charm wrap around you. Whether you’re curled up in the living room or unwinding in the sunroom, there’s a sense of warmth and “this is exactly where I want to be” that’s hard to put into words. The sunroom is one of our favorite places in the home. From here, you can watch the meadow, the mountains, and Lake Granby all in one sweeping view. Pour a cup of coffee, settle into a chair, and keep your eyes open—elk, deer, moose, and even coyotes wander through the backyard and down into the meadow. It’s a front‑row seat to true Colorado living. The bedrooms and master bath are part of the newer addition, blending modern comfort with cabin charm. You can snuggle into the cozy king bed in the primary suite, tuck into the full bunk bed in Bedroom 2, or relax in the queen + twin bunk setup in Bedroom 3. Every mattress, pillow, and set of linens is recently updated—we want your sleep to feel as restorative as the view. If you need to work remotely, the sunroom includes a dedicated workspace with a desk and a backdrop that makes video calls something you actually look forward to. Step outside and you’ve got one acre of Colorado to explore. Lounge near the basketball court at the picnic table, sip your favorite drink on the deck while you take in the meadow below, or wander over the little bridge and let the kids practice casting into the canal that runs beneath it. It’s playful, peaceful, and a little bit magical. Inside, the kitchen is equipped with all new appliances, making meal prep easy and enjoyable. The window over the sink frames a beautiful view of Lake Granby—cooking rarely feels this special. And yes… we’ll admit it: we get excited about parking. The round‑about driveway makes it simple to bring cars, trucks, trailers, boats, and any other mountain toys you’re traveling with. What we love most about this cabin is the balance—it’s surrounded by trees yet opens to spectacular views of the lake, meadow, and mountains. It has character and comfort, history and freshness, adventure and serenity. We might be biased… but to us, this place is a 10 out of 10 when it comes to Airbnb vibes, views, and experience. We hope you feel the same from the moment you arrive.
